Transferencia de un LP Columbia ML 5085 de prensaje uruguayo, el mismo contiene grabaciones efectuadas el 23/10/1955 para Beethoven y 10/01/1956 para Mozart. La grabación ha debido ser extensamente corregida de forma digital en función de que el disco fue prensado en forma excéntrica. Las disculpas del caso para las fallas remanentes en el último movimiento de la Quinta de Beethoven.
These are fine performances, in good, bright sound. HOWEVER, the Beethoven LP side is so far off-center that the pitch varies about a semitone. Is there any way you can CENTER the LP properly before you transfer to digital? I do this by raising the LP a bit higher than the spindle. It's such an interesting old record that it would be nice to hear it with steady pitch, as it was no doubt recorded.

Hola Moises, si encuentro una manera de solucionar lo excentrico del centrado del mismo lo vuelvo a grabar sin problemas. El problema es que ninguno de mis platos tiene el eje removible ya que son Direct Drive, ya veré que solucion puedo encontrar.

Ormandy's mono recordings are superb, the Fifth Symphony is much better than the stereo incarnation, and the 40 was superb, energetic, intense, very good played. Stravinsky was wrong dismissing Ormandy as "Johann Strauss waltzes conductor".
